QuranThumbnails is a free tool for making thumbnails for Quran recitation videos. It's built so that your photos and designs stay on your own device. This page explains, in plain words, what that means.
In short: there's no sign-up, no ads and no tracking. Your photos are never uploaded to us. Everything you make is created inside your own browser.
What we don't collect
- We don't ask for your name, email or any account details. There are no accounts.
- We don't upload, see or store the photos, backgrounds, logos or fonts you add. They're processed in your browser and never sent to our server.
- We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we don't sell or share data about you.
What's saved on your own device
To remember your work between visits, the site saves some things in your browser's own storage (local storage and IndexedDB). This stays on your device, and we can't see it:
- Your settings and preferences, such as the theme, language, animations and default template settings.
- Reciters you choose to save, including their photos, names, playlist links and hashtags.
- Designs you save as "my templates."
- If you load one, the surah introductions file for the Title & description tool.
- A copy of the site's files, so it loads faster and works offline.
You can delete all of this at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser's settings. Export files you make, like settings files or saved reciters, are saved wherever you choose and are yours to keep or delete.
Our server
Like almost every website, the server that delivers the pages may keep standard technical logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These are used only to keep the site running and secure, and they aren't used to identify or profile you.
Outside services
- Google Fonts: some typefaces are loaded from Google's font service, so your browser connects to Google to download them. Google's handling of this is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
- Links to other sites: the site links to places like YouTube, Kreosus (for optional support), Discord (for contact) and Quran Caption. If you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Children
The site doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If how the site works changes, for example if analytics are ever added, this page will be updated first, and the date at the top will change.
